Hey, Gem. Zhara here, and I’m back with another one.

Let’s jump into it

The Power Within x Zhara. J.

★

There’s a sacred, humbling moment when we realize that the healing we’ve been searching for isn’t out there… It’s already in us.

Not in a magic pill. Not in someone else’s hands. Not even in a perfectly curated wellness routine. But in you, your body’s wisdom, your intuition’s whispers, and your spirit’s resilience.

That’s the thing about healing: it doesn’t just happen when life stops hurting. It begins when we get still enough to see ourselves clearly and to face what aches, has been silenced, and is long overdue for love.

Get comfortable for this one, Gem. It’s a necessary reminder.

According to licensed holistic wellness coach Dr. Tiffany Lester, “Self-awareness is the gateway to healing. Without it, we’re just repeating cycles in different disguises.”

And whew, don’t we know about those cycles?

It’s the same burnout wrapped in a new job. The same heartbreak dressed as a “different” relationship. The same body aches we ignored until they demanded attention. But when you slow down and ask, “What is my body trying to tell me? What pattern am I in again?” you begin to disrupt the automatic.

Mhm. And that’s when the real healing starts.

You can do the green juices, therapy, yoga, and sage, and those are beautiful tools. But true transformation happens when we stop outsourcing our power and start coming home to ourselves.

Healing isn’t about being “fixed” because you’re not broken. You were never broken, and you should stop using that verigbage. It’s more about becoming aware of your wounds, triggers, and truths.

As wellness educator Alex Elle says, “We cannot heal what we do not acknowledge.”

So acknowledge the tension in your shoulders, the tightness in your chest when you're triggered, and how you self-abandon in moments when you need yourself most.

This isn’t a one-and-done journey. Healing comes in layers, seasons, and waves.

One day, you're forgiving your past self. Another, you're learning how to speak kindly to your reflection. Then, out of nowhere, you're crying in the car over a song you thought you healed from.

Gem, let it come, let it teach, and let it pass.

Healing looks like journaling on your lunch break, or unfollowing/blocking accounts and people that make you second-guess your worth or beauty. It could also be finally booking that therapist or standing in the mirror and repeating, “I deserve good things.”

You don’t have to be perfect to begin.

You don’t need a five-year plan… or a healing altar… or answers to all your questions.

You just need to choose you, on purpose.

Choose to listen inward and hold space for yourself like you do for everyone else. Believe that healing is not only possible but inevitable when you commit to yourself.

Gem, you are not too late.

Not too broken.

Not too far gone.

Everything you need to start again already lives within you. You just have to look inward and believe it’s still yours.

Gem, share this reminder with another woman who is focused on healing.

Until next time, I wish you well as you break yourself into pieces and rebuild beautifully. -Zhara. J.
